Precautions for the use of drag chains in cables and tubing on machine tools

The towline protects the cable and the tubing, and the cable can also move back and forth along with the towline, which protects the cable and adds external beauty. It is now a common industrial product for protecting the cable, then the steel is used. What should be noted when making a drag chain.

1: The cables in the chain must not be in contact with each other or trapped together. There must be a certain distance between them. The cables must be loosely laid side by side in the towline, arranged as far as possible, separated by spacers or inserted into the brackets. In the separation cavity, the gap between the cables in the drag chain shall be at least 10% of the cable diameter;

2: Attention must be paid to the minimum bending radius of the cable to ensure that the cable moves completely within the bending radius, that is, it cannot be forced to move. After the cables are moved relative to each other or to the guiding device, it is better to check the position of the cable after a period of operation. This check must be made after the push-pull movement.

3: The cable should not be twisted, that is, the cable should not be unwound from one end of the cable reel or cable reel. Instead, the cable should be unrolled by rotating the reel or cable reel, and if necessary, the cable can be unfolded or suspended. The cable in this case can only be obtained directly from the cable roll;

4: Both points of the cable must be fixed, or at least at the moving end of the towline. The moving point of the general cable should be 20-30 times the diameter of the cable.

5: Most notable, if the chain is broken, the cable needs to be replaced, because the damage caused by excessive stretching cannot be avoided.
